I was Captain for one year, 2nd Lieutenant for two years, and 1st Lieutenant for one year. I am on the Truck Committee. I joined the Fire Company to help other people and serve my community. It is also a family tradition; I�m a fourth generation firefighter.Ronald.Emenheiser@yorkanafireco.org Mark Enders - Deputy Chief This is the third position I have held in the Fire Company. I was 2nd Lieutenant, and Assistant Chief. I have held positions in other Fire Companies. I have been a member since 2007. I am on the Truck Committee and am an Assistant Juniors� Advisor. I have been a member since I joined in 1996, as a junior at the age of fourteen. I am currently on the Website Committee. I joined the Fire Company because my father was a member, and then my brother became interested in the fire service. Served there for 26 years and a line officer for 15 years. Past Yorkana Fire Co. President. Former member with Cytec Industries (WV) fire brigade, ERIM (Hazmat), Confine Space Rescue and First Responder teams. I wanted to continue to serve in the fire service after the move to Pennsylvania and to help the community in which I now live. In all this time I have been a Fire Police Lieutenant, Recording Secretary, and now Fire Police Captain. In all this time I have been Vice President, Registrar for two years, and President for 13 non-consecutive years. Being President means I am involved in every committee. After witnessing several fires at a young age, I decided I wanted to help save people and their property. I joined in 1966. I am a member because I want to help and serve people in need.Beverly Flinchbaugh - Secretary I have been a member since 1984. I have been Secretary for 21 non-consecutive years. I have been the Assistant Treasurer for the Fire Company and Treasurer for the Relief Association. I joined to help educate children in fire safety (I developed the Fire Company�s current program) and I wanted to help the community. Beverly.Flinchbaugh@yorkanafireco.orgBryn Leiphart - Assistant Secretary I have held the positions of Assistant Secretary, Treasurer for Relief Association, Assistant Treasurer for the Fire Company, and did a brief stint as Secretary of the Fire Company. I have been a member since 1992, when I joined as a Junior. I am currently Chairman for the Fund Drive, Open House, and Fire Prevention Program. I was a Junior at another Fire Company before joining Yorkana. In that time I have been Assistant Treasurer for the Fire Company and Relief Association, and Juniors� Advisor, all for one year each. I have been the Treasurer for the Fire Company for three years and the Relief Association for two years. I am on the Building, By-Laws, and Website Committees. I am Chairman of the Dinner Committee, and Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee. I wanted to be a firefighter because I was raised in the Fire Company and it is in my �blood�. I joined this Fire Company because of friendship that has now turned to family. I saw the good done by firefighters. I wanted to help people and make the Fire Company into something good and prosperous. I initially began running with the fire company from the help of some friends but quickly became part of the Yorkana family. I enjoy helping at all our fundraising functions as well as helping others and protecting our community. I look forward to working with everyone and continuing my education in the fire service.
